Opened in 1926, the Olympia Theater at the Gusman Center for the Performing Arts was built using Moorish architectural styles, with ornate painted and gilded decorations supplementing the theater's vibrant colors and strong architectural design. Once a silent movie theater, the center is now at the heart of Miami's performing arts culture, with live music, dance performances and family events providing a full roster of entertaining possibilities. It is set right in the heart of downtown, just blocks southwest of the Bayside Marketplace and less than half a mile east of the Miami-Dade Cultural Center and the Miami Art Museum held within.
Box office open Mon. - Fri. noon - 2:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
